Who is Hallwings? Game Shows

(note:  This one's a long one as well.)

And now we talk about one of the most enduring genres in the history of television...the game show.

Oh, yeah, I f***ing LOVE game shows!  Now that reality crap like "Survivor" or "Big Brother," but such enduring classics as "The Price is Right", "Jeopardy!", "Wheel of Fortune", etcetera.

It's impressive how much you know about old school game shows, given your age. Yes, GSN has provided access to shows that predate you, but sporadically. Yes, YouTube gives you access to poor quality video of select episodes of yesteryear, but that's hit and miss.

It's too bad you're too young to have grown up with daytime game shows. I remember there was a time when NBC would air three hours of game shows in the morning, and I remember when there'd be afternoon syndicated game shows on the local independent channel. I didn't always watch Price is Right as a teen because the shows on NBC were of more interest to me. Hard to believe TPIR is all we have for daytime games now. Sad, really.

I've read several of your blog entries and am enjoying it. I'll be pouring through others in the days to come.
